Thomas vs Brachacki
New Series Tardis prop next to a Season 2 Hartnell prop. The models are to scale and show just how much taller and wider the New Series Edward Thomas designed box is next to the original 1960s Peter Brachacki prop. The doors of the new prop are 6' 10'' high ( like the original Met box single doors ), whereas the doors of the original prop were only 6' 6'' high. The Season 2 Hartnell prop had by this time lost the original fresnel roof lamp and housing and was replaced with the simpler one you see here. This replacement lasted until the end of the Pertwee era.
