Hiding behind fear.

Hiding behind fear.

fear   [feer] noun
1. A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid. Synonyms: foreboding, apprehension, consternation, dismay, dread, terror, fright, panic, horror, trepidation, qualm. Antonyms: courage, security, calm, intrepidity.

I'm terrified. Honestly, I don't even think that terror completely encompasses the feelings running through every nerve ending in my body at this precise moment. Say what you will about being brave and that all you need is courage and anything can be accomplished. Sure, you could be right, I'm probably wrong but it doesn't change the simple fact that I am moments away from a panic attack with tears on the brims of my lashes.

I really and truly wish tomorrow never had to come.

"Light bulbs die, my sweet. I will depart"

"Light bulbs die, my sweet. I will depart"

- Mr. Edward Magorium

One of the most inspirational movies I've seen is Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I high recommend giving it a moment of your time.

Also I recommend this song by this lovely, gifted young girl Birdy - Skinny Love (cover).

Happy Cliche Saturday (because self portraits in sun flare with quotes is kind of cliche), and in the words of Mr. Magorium "Don't stop, dance longer."

“We need a renaissance of wonder. We need to renew, in our hearts and in our souls, the deathless dream, the eternal poetry, the perennial sense that life is miracle and magic.”

Project SoulPancake: Pop your problems.

This was a hard assignment, much tougher than giving a stranger a compliment. I do NOT like the anxiety that comes with popping balloons. At. All. There's this balloon popping game at Chuck E Cheese and it makes me cry I get so nervous. But I did it! I popped a balloon and let my dog pop the rest. My problems are not simple, and they can't be mended by popping a balloon but it was a cute idea. :) I wish things could be so simple. I also wish I could not be so terminally clumsy. :) Hence my issue with gravity.

I'd like to thank my bestie for doing this diptych for me because lightroom has its limitations haha.

"Then he kissed her...

"Then he kissed her...

not just a brush of lips as she'd done, but a kiss that scalded her tongue. The tree burst into full blooms. The garden fluttered around her. A riot of flowers shot out of the earth. She was mud-covered as he pulled back." - Fragile Eternity, Melissa Marr

I'm a book junkie, my apologies ;) Anyway! It's spring break for us in the crumbling school system! Yay!! Going to ignore the fact I need to make lesson plans until next Saturday and enjoy the break haha.

Hope you all have an amazing, happy and very cliche filled Saturday! :)
