A Day at Home

Testing my D90 on video with proper manual settings. This is about as good as it gets with the D90. Random Shots around my property, ignore the half dead yard. Nikon D90, Nikkor 50mm 1.8D, 24p, 1/50th sec shutter.

A Touch of Enthusiasm

A Touch of Enthusiasm

I know that the opinion on vinyl, specifically related to performance/ "race" stripes is rather binary. People tend to either love the look, or shame it to hell. I wanted to improve the sense of motorsport while upholding a level of quality. I want it to be fun without guilt. The look really is growing on me.

The Vinyl kit from BMW is $190. I bought this vinyl for $19 and cut it myself (VERY CAREFULLY), though not perfect, my mistakes are not very noticeable without close inspection. FYI, Cutting vinyl is not fun without the right tools... PTIA.

MUST SEE LARGE (Press L)

I just moved all my photos from iPhoto to Lightroom3. iPhoto was too limiting and was really starting to slow me down. I'm new to Lightroom, but not new to Photoshop; so far the transition has been smooth (after 8 hours of reorganization). Due to iPhotos' tendency to duplicate pictures, I free'd up gigs of space after I finished. This picture was the first I tried editing within LR3, and then I did my usual touchups in Photoshop. Now that I can "easily" edit RAW, I presume I'll start exploring the true potential of my camera. So much to learn again!
