Immature male White-necked Jacobin

I won't tell you how many shots I've taken of Hummingbirds over the years, scores in Tobago alone but eventually there is a reward.
Taken at the Arnos Vale Hotel where there are twice daily feeds for the birds and for the mosquitoes unless you prepare! Of course, there was a sugar feeder near this magnificant specimen. Immature male White-necked Jacobin (Florisuga mellivora)

Its incredible that their heads remain so still while the rest of them is moving so fast. Wonderful capture.

Thank you both. This result makes up for the hours spent in attempting to capture these wonderful, but fast, creatures.

Birds have an incredible capacity to maintain their heads still whilst the body moves, it is easy to demonstrate this with a tame chicken! ;o)

Cracking photo, I love the combination of the sharp hummingbird and the movement in the wings.
