- Can't strike a match on a digital camera!
Redheads Matchbox Pinhole
My first home made pinhole camera. As you can see, I have tried to retain as much of the matchbox-y goodness as possible. I coloured in the inside of the box and used lots of tape but realised the cardboard probably wasn't completely light tight, so I wrapped the whole thing in black tape then stuck another matchbox over the top... just to make it look pretty :)

I've made a couple more since this one, and I didn't spend quite as much time trying to make them look all pretty!
The shuttter is two bits of black cardboard, both with holes in them. One slides up and down behind the other, which probably doesn't help me keep the whole thing still, so I'm trying a flap-ish shutter at the moment.

it'd be so funny to see peoples reaction if you had this thing stuck on a tripod out the front of flinders street station or something hahha !!

It's a lot smarter looking than the pinhole cameras I've made, I have to say. I've never used a tripod myself either.

i hardly took any shots in my 1st year of photography without a tripod ... had to learn how to handhold after that basically cos i was shocking at it haha !!
