Neat! Are these still in use? Or are they strictly museum exhibits now?

Fliedermaus: There is still some of those being used by gypsies. They are also used as holiday caravans in the East Coast of Ireland.

Looks like a scene right out of the book "Greenwitch", missing horses and all. Did you meet the owners?

I like this photo, because it seems to be reality, not conserved in a museum, compare:

FrizzText: Thanks for the compliment. Some travelling gypsies still camp in this spot.

Izma2000: This picture was taken a good few years ago near Piltown in South KIlkenny. YOu will still see some of those wagons but mostly the modern caravans are used now .

Can we still find them at South KIlkenny at this moment Joe? Since I saw the last comment about the place was about 42 months a go.
Thanks in advance for you info.
This is a very good shot btw :-)

Thanks for the comment and favourite giraffin. I have some more pictures here as well. This picture was taken some years ago, we seldom see caravans like those anymore. They are mostly modern caravans drawn by jeeps and landrovers.

I flickr searched gypsy and traveller and it was the 4th pic in.
Its annoying when you dont know why certain pics suddenly get loads of attention :)
Is it linked to a flickr group that uses the group for external content maybe.
