Mushrooms at Khao Sok

Brightly colored mushrooms along the banks of the Khlong Saeng River. Another member of the park's flora is the Rafflesia flower which is also called the corpse flower due to the unpleasant aroma of the rare and short-lived blooms. The Rafflesia arnoldii takes months to bloom and the flower only lives for a few days, but it is the largest individual flower in the world. It can grow up to three feet in diameter and weigh up to twenty-four pounds.
