Pittsburg Landing road

When you climb up to the top of Pittsburg Saddle from Deer Creek and the Salmon River, you get a wonderful reward as you look down the road you will travel to the Snake River at Pittsburg Landing (where we camped on night one). The canyon walls in the distance ae in Oregon. This side of the river is Idaho. Just north down the Snake River is the Oregon and Washington border.

We took a jet boat ride from Pittsburg Landing up through Hell's Canyon to the Hell's Canyon dam in October of 2006.

My wife and I took a three day road trip to the Snake River canyon area where Washington, Oregon, and Idaho meet. The highlight of the trip was a 9 mile round trip hike up the Rapid River near Riggins, Idaho.

Jessarina. You would have enjoyed the moon that came out after the sun went down. Almost too bright to get a good night's sleep but we managed. The sound of the Snake River helped. OMT

Agred AZderek, and a wonderful place to explore on a dual-sport motorbike. What a road to ride. OMT
