I like this version better than your first one. Making the eye on the left side more realistic gives the whole image more life. Well done!

There are too many subtle differences to choose one over the other. Both are very strong work.

Very cool.
Personally, I like the detail in this one and the deep color of the other. But both are fantastic.

Love this! I'd have to give this one a slight edge over the earlier one, as there is even more great stuff to look at in this one. I especially like the spooky detailing in the chin, nose and top of the head (is that colored pencil?). Greatness all around.

Yes, this was first drawn in ink. Filled in with watercolor, and then where appropriate, drawn over again with Prismacolor pencils.

I like all the faces in this one, but I think I prefer the first for the colors and the trees.

When you click back and forth and think of the two works as a life-cycle, a narrative, the second one is the aged being, trees have shrunk back, one has a wider perspective of this world. The left eye is awake and the Conscience has evolved from the singular conscience to a collective conscience. It is more mature... I don't know, that is my thought for the day anyway.

Makes perfect sense. I find humanity to be more present the older I get.

they are both strong and amazing..I like your thoughts on the evolution process in them..love the ethereal beings in blue..they feel like spirits who have crossed over, waiting for those anchored in the physical to join them..

que lindo isso, muito foda! remete muito ao primitivo, simbologias, deixa o trabalho forte de se ver. parabéns.

interesting - i faved the conscience a while back, and found you again through someone's faves. i love the conscience because of the detail throughout, and it's cohesiveness. this one is also incredible, but i like the imagery within the head. somehow the larger blocks of color around the outside here distract me. both are excellent!
