Lens flares on Mt Kilimanjaro

This image was taken on the morning of the 3rd day of our trek up Mt Kilimanjaro at about 6.30am! We had just had breakfast and were preparing our kit for the day's trek when I noticed the sun creeping up behind Uhuru Peak and the clouds forming a haloed rim over the mountains.
I was shooting directly at the sun and knew I was going to get heavy lens flare so I though I might try and incorporate that into the image.
Closing down aperture and using a fast shutterspeed produced this image.
Exposure settings were:
1/400th sec at f/14 iso 100
