Roman Nehelennia altar

Roman Nehelennia altar

Nehelennia was a Batavian goddess for fertility, trevellers and sailors. She was worshipped in the southern Netherlands around the birth of Christ and adopted into the Roman pantheon. It probably stood alongside a road.
