Johnny Cash stencil

I found this cool graffiti'd image of Johnny Cash online, and doctored it to make my own stencil. The thrift shop down the street was having a 50% off sale, so the kid's t-shirt was only 35 cents. More portrait stencil to come, I think.

I always wondered how the hell you did this "freezer paper" stencil thing. But I looked it up today and am stoked to get started!

That is awesome. Are there any particularly good websites about how to do this that you've worked from?

Gosh, no websites that I can think of. You basically just trace the pattern onto freezer paper, cut it out, and iron the waxy side down to the shirt. Then you can paint and peel it off. It's super easy!

Ah, I googled it a little bit, and it looked like you had to use an inkjet printer to do something like this. That ruled me out so I didn't look into it any further. I didn't think of just painting it on with something. I've never done anything like this before, but I've done some stencil work with spraypaint.
