....and then he drank the dew .....

A Bird came down the Walk –
He did not know I saw –
He bit an Angleworm in halves
    And ate the fellow, raw,

And then he drank a Dew
    From a convenient Grass –
And then hopped sidewise to the Wall
To let a Beetle pass –

    He glanced with rapid eyes
    That hurried all around –
They looked like frightened Beads, I thought –
    He stirred his Velvet Head

    Like one in danger, Cautious,
    I offered him a Crumb
    And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home –

    Than Oars divide the Ocean,
Too silver for a seam –
Or Butterflies, off Banks of Noon
    Leap, plashless as they swim.

    Emily Dickinson

Hi Ilse, my lovely. Feeling better still today? So very beautiful this image, Ilse. Such a sweet sweet face this little bird has. Have no idea how you created this effect but it's quite stunning. As if he's existing in some ethereal bokeh world. Great work, Ilse, with most charming results. Lots of love today XXX

Felt it was time but ......let's say, out there but not 'out there' :) So happy you got your translations finished. Yeah!!!!! Bring out the red wine, put the LC on. Big hugs of congrats, angel Ilse.

How nice to see your smiling face when I come home exhausted my sweet stormmate..And then what an incredible surprise to see this work of art ! Difficult to call it a photo...(I mean just a photo) There's so much more to it.. I envy your skills because I believe that your creativeness gives you much greater satisfaction ..How does it feel to create this sevgili Ilse ? What great eye you have...Just as blurry as you like while clear enough where you want...And those are really the best focus points... That blurriness makes me feel everything in this world is temporary no matter how beautiful !!! Your capture implies great philosophy to me ... Love you my dear !
So happy to hear that those 70 translations are almost finished ! I wonder how long they were ? And about what in general ? Perhaps you could tell me about it in your free time :) Wish you a wonderful holiday..You deserved that so much dear Ilse ! Be well my friend... Hope you feel much better ?
Talk to you later ... Love..

ahh...fantastic capture of this avian moment, dear Ilse! the softness of this image gives an aura of an Audobon work, and the fusion with the poetry is perfect!

wishing you a good week with great health...take care! *hugs*

Hi Ilse this is so beautiful and the words are a sweet complimentary gift .

I am taking a break while the first coat of paint dries on the walls in our TV room. I have about an hour and a 1/2 before I have to make dinner then when dinner is over I am going to put the second coat on the walls. Till then I am going to take a quick jaunt through my friends streams. Please do not be offended by this little for lack of a better name (form letter) hehehe

A beautiful scene... more than the photo of a bird, but a lovely image of the bird being natural in its environment.
A strange kind of blur you have created, it almost looks like it is bathing in milk!
