Lago d'Iseo |
I saw wonderful photos of the italian
lake "Lago d'Iseo" and the
island Monte Isola in Lombardy, so I
decided to take a look.
On 19-02 I flew from Budapest to Bergamo, I caught the bus to Brescia, where I took a train to the city of Iseo. Unfortunately thick fog covered the whole lake and the surrounding mountains (I think, it was really foolish to expect bright sunshine in february...)Anyway, I took the first boat to the village Peschiera Maraglio. A small fleet of boats provide connection between the cities around the lake Iseo and the island Monte Isola. The boatride was great, despite the fact, that the visibility was poor. After landing I discovered the narrow streets and the small port of the village. Monte Isola is a fantastic, peacuful place to hide away the rest of the world. I wish, I could buy a house there.
