2nd Course: Hudson Valley Foie Gras

    Hudson Valley Foie Gras Rhubarb & Strawberry Compote, Shortbread Biscuit, White Balsamic Verjus

    Notes: I wasn't crazy about the two 2nd course options (the other was pork belly), so I asked if I could substitute something from the a la carte menu. Our delightful server, Amy, said, "Absolutely."

    A more than generous slice of foie gras -- definite not tasting menu size -- was perfectly seared. The compote and the sauce were sweet. The shortbread biscuits were an interesting and very tasty touch.
