Birthday Cocktail Number 11
Notes: Dining Room Manager Jordan Salsito served us these "Welcome" gifts. They were composed especially for us by Head Bartender Leo and Eamon, who designs the drinks for EMP's non-alcoholic cocktail program. Jordan explained their goal: to design two drink with some of the same components, but for M there would be liquor while there would not be any in mine.
Both contained black tea, BLiss maple syrup, and star anise. M's cocktail, No. 11, also contained Amontillado sherry and pomegranate-hibiscus syrup. The additional ingredients in my cocktail, No. 11.1, were pinot noir juice and sparkling cider. The latter was poured by Jordan tableside. Both cocktails were finished with a flamed lemon twist.
A truly delicious way to start this celebratory dinner!
