Enormous waves had reached the shores on Friday. Saturday brought out crowds hoping to see more. Not everyone was wise in choosing a place from which to watch for waves. This man climbed another 15 feet or so before he stopped. If the big waves had returned, he would have been right in their path as seen by the water behind him. He wasn't alone in taking a chance like this. Many other people, some with children, were perched on rocks farther out. Fortunately, no one was injured this time.

A wedding ceremony in formal attire was taking place in a gazebo on a little bluff nearby overlooking the bay. There wasn't much wind, and the temps were warm for January. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful place for a wedding!

I spotted these three mushrooms a few days ago when they had just popped up. The light wasn't quite right, so I waited till today to take the photo. Looks like a few little forest creatures had a Thanksgiving nibble in the meantime!
