Still an unknown...
I am doing something I've never done before...re-posting a previous post. I have been trying to track this caterpillar's ID for over 2 yrs. Besides asking people 'in the know', I posted it to 'bugguide' but never rec'd any feedback on it. Hoping someone will be able to help this time around.
Last photo in comment section shows what it looked like from a distance of abt. 3 ft. away to give an idea of it's camouflage capabilities...really blends in, doesn't it?!
Wishing everyone a great day...lots of sunshine here, and in 60 deg this afternoon...65 called for tomorrow. And since it's not b'fly, insect weather yet. looks like we'll be golfin'...=-)

Good afternoon Daisy...and Happy Hug a Bug Day to you. Nice shot of this mystery caterpillar and sorry to say I have no idea what species it is. Checked my two online resources for caterpillars, but no match :-(

Whoa! Now this looks quite unique. These are the kinda situation that really perplex me. Seems so distinctive, you couldn't help but ID it. I've got my cat books with me, am working on a few other ID's, so as I thumb thru the pages I'll keep an eye out for this one. How hard can it be? (???)
