I have the non-Lite version of this, unopened. It says on the front, "BEER," and on the back it has a bunch of text about joining a union with the headline "WAKE UP AMERICA." I believe it's dated from the mid-70's and according to the fine print, the brew is from Falstaff.

I rather horror to think what's sloshing around in there after all this time...

They had a Falstaff brewery here in Fort Wayne. It was cheap beer at $5 a case. This generic stuff was the same exact thing as Falstaff. If you iced it down to just above the point of freezing, it wasn't that bad. The brewery was located not far from where the Maumee, St. Joe and St. Mary's rivers meet and right next door from the water filtration plant where 21 ports would often open up throughout the waterways during heavy rain and dump raw sewage into the river when things got backed up. The owner ran the business into the ground and died with hundreds of millions in the bank while thousands of workers were robbed of their pensions. I love this town and I miss my Falstaff.

I thought all light beer was generic, but this takes the cake.
