Tiger's Nest Monastery, Bhutan

    Perched 900m high on a rocky outcrop outside Paro, the monastery is so named because legend tells that Guru Rumpong flew here on that back of a tiger.

    The climb to the top is arduous, but well worth the effort as the monastery is stunning.

      What a spectacular setting. I always marvel at the thoughts of how they built places like this without machines.
