Whether this modern exterior is more visually appealing than the Victorian pile that it replaced lies in the eye of the beholder, but it does make for a good photo opportunity.

As this place lives on Great Northern road, I think it safe to assume it used to belong the the Great Northern Railway, or GNR. What its purpose was, I knoweth not.

Three exposures hand held, with two additional exposures develped in Lightroom to maintain shadows and highlights.

Then I let rip with Topaz Adjust 5.

A 3 exposure hand held HDR. Two additional exposures at -4 and +4 EV were created in Lightroom to maintain shadows and highlights.

This was from yesterday's trip to the city where I was spawned.

My first attempt at a vertorama, this comprises 3 sets of 3 exposures, -2 to +2 EV, with two additional exposures at -4 and +4 EV created in Lightroom for each set. Three HDRs were created in Photomatix 4 and then merged to a vertorama in Photoshop. I then did the Topaz Adjust 5 thing before tweaking levels and curves back in PS. After high pass sharpening I ran it through Noiseware Profesional.

All of which consumed an hour of my life that I'll not see again. Still, I'm pleased with it.
