As expected, Alabama decimated San Jose State. Alabama rolled up about 600 yards of offense and held the Spartans to about 175. Julio Jones' diving one handed touchdown catch was amazing (video here)

Football season started yesterday in the insanely frustrating fashion that only UAB is capable of. They didn't trail until there was about two minutes left in the game. Then, they put together a drive that goes the length of the field and all they have to do is a hit a chip shot field goal to win and the FG attempt was blocked and the Owls won. Ugggh. Welcome to another year of UAB football.
