Tomato RED

Someone smart said "If organic farming is the natural way, shouldn't organic produce just be called "produce" and make the pesticide-laden stuff take the burden of an adjective? "

This tomato is Fresh juicy from our very own vegetable patch :)

I understand now why my folks would always plant stuff where ever we lived... did not matter whether we owned the place or not... mom always says "when we grow our own food it tastes better"... and I would roll my eyes making this note to self I would never do that :) and here I am growing tomatoes :)

I am really thrilled when I see them ripen makes me feel kinda proud :) Ohh yeah we use no fertilizers except for the organic compost we create with our kitchen waste and plant / lawn cuttings...

When the tomato warnings from the FDA went into effect I was thinking I could make a killing selling all these tomatoes ;-) alas by the time these ripened they took tomotoes off the list and said it is jalapeno peppers which are the culprits! I guess soon it might be easier to put out a list of what is safe rather than what is not ;)

The first one in the comment is of the tomatoes on the plant and the other two pics are the bunch of cherry tomatoes I plucked today ... You know what they say "It's difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato.”

Have a wonderful Day!!View On White

I love all of these tomato photos (there's a phrase I couldn't have imagined saying...lol...) I particularly like the stark white background in the main photo as it really shows off the tomoto in all it's glory. Very nicely done!

    YOur tomato shots are wonderful.

Tomatoes are the World and the World is a Big Tomato.

I like your color popping work that you are doing of late and thanks for your note on the usage of words with pictures to give the backdrop and the feel of the picture.

I see that you are doing a very fine job on the same theme.

It looks so delicate and sweet - and then I mean those adjectives when they are applied to edibles too. :-)

Ours are still green and very unripe. The grapes are coming along nicely though. I will have to do another "garden series" soon.
