Little Lady

A wonderful story goes along with this sweet little lady! Yesterday, when I got back from auction, I was sorting through the new stash of vintage goodies and came across this pretty little lady. When I picked her up to admire, I heard something shaking inside of her dress. At first, I thought that maybe she was a tiny rattle. But then realized that she must be a trinket box and removed her top part. I found a group of little mini clay Japanese men and a 1956 wheat penny hiding inside her dress- what a neat little discovery! ...not sure who hid the little men and penny or why, but it makes for a great story, does it not? :-)

she is adorable. And it's sort of like a time capsule with the wheat penny. A very cool find!

      Lovestiches-

Yes! She is quite a little time capsule. I absolutely love it when I find objects like this that have clues to their past. :-)
