I loved the form in this photo. I combined it on several layers with some of my other images. I used lighting modes, blurring and varying opacities to blend them.

Thank you cikaga_jamie for letting me work on your photo.

good fix! I had something similar going on with my try, only for my paintshop to have to 'shut down' before I got to save any of my work! I dont know much about working with layers, but really want to learn...(my holiday assignment!). This is good!

Thank you very much:) That is a shame about your edit, it has happened to me before too. The layers are quite easy to work with, and will open up all knids of new avenues for you. Here is a link to gwennie2006's tutorials. They are written for photoshop, but will work with many other editing programs as well. I refer to some of the lessons when I do my editis for the "Fix My Pic" group. If you go to my tags:
      www.flickr.com/photos/dcmemorialfoundation/ta gs/

You will see some for different lessons..lightEffect, lightPattern, blurEffect etc. Click the Blue link for other public photos, and you will see others using the same tag.

Here is a link to her tutorials:
      gwennie2006's Photoshop Tutorials
I will have her add you as a friend, so you will have access to all the parts. I hope it helps you out, and thanks again:)

This turned out beautiful. What a inspiring idea to add the form of the woman.

Perhaps if this was an actual photograph, I'd give this more than half a second glance. You didn't even take all the images yourself. How can you seriously be submitting this.

That is why I have a link to the image. I had done a couple of these in the past and thought it was okay. If it is not then I will remove it.

Good photoshopping, but i have to go with the defender.

There is no rule against submitting composite images like these provided that you have permission to use the photos and create derivative works based on them. Gwennie2006 has submitted such images on a number of occasions in the past.

    20. Sergio Lubezky (42 months ago | reply)

I am with Arkady on this one... it might be permitted in the pool, but I rather see an original and "own" work as part of this group than a derivative work regardless of how fantastic your photoshop skills are.

I'm not disturbed with the composite technic, but here, the problem is that I don't really understand what's going on, was is represented in the resulting image, so I have to go with the defender even if I'm not an historical fan of Waterpipe.

Wow. Thanks to the new Flickr layout, I've been reading this charade for some time now. It's clearly the essence of womanhood. Also, this is another art form, just like photography. Get off your damn high horses and just appreciate the resulting image.

    23. iamnotandrewlee (42 months ago | reply)

Creative piece, but lacks the wow factor that the defenders image has. For me at least.
