- the functional stuff -
Closet converted to storage area for old document, tax and business
information, carrying cases for laptops and gear, software and
hardware manuals, blank notebooks and sketchbooks, empty folders and
binders, media archives and some extraneous cables and peripherals.
- the fun stuff -
That blown-out glow under the Kiss Rock And Roll Over clock (it
rotates!) is a small lamp that sits on top of an insanely heavy Sapien
shelf (14 shelves) which holds a variety of toys - Sideshow Toys
Little Big Heads (black and white versions), Homestar Runner figures,
three die cast Batmobiles, Ren and Stimpy with magnetic butts, a
random Micronaut, ED-209 from Robocop, wind-up Wolverine, Captain
America Pez dispenser, a couple other random little toys and an
original model of a spaceship my brother made for me in the late 70's,
sculpted from balsa wood with found model parts added. Classic black
and white Universal Monsters photos are aligned above the closet, with
an assortment of magnets (Kiss, Watchmen buttons and Universal
Monsters stamps) stuck to the metal shelf. The shelves under the
window hold Creatures of the Night monster busts, three scrap metal
sculptures from the defunct metalart.org site (Predator,Alien and Boba
Fett), and three banks - Wolverine, Spiderman and Batman. A small
selection of art and design books sit on the bottom shelf.

Thanks, everyone! I'm in there much less since I've had a son (who's just starting to enjoy some of the toys - but many aren't safe for him) but it's still a great place to do creative work.
