James Nachtwey
Nachtwey is an amazing documentary war photographer, who is also a ceaseless campaigner for peace and justice. He has narrowly escaped with his life, numerous times, thanks to his tireless pursuit of "the story". Needless to say, his interview (by longtime editor/collaborator MaryAnne Golon, of Time) was to a rapt, packed-house audience. He received several standing ovations, near the end.

That video of Nachtwey accepting his 2007 TED prize is very close to his talk here at the festival. Highly recommended!
