Northern Lights
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, shines above Bear Lake here January 18, 2005. The lights are the result of solar particles colliding with gases in Earth's atmosphere. Early Eskimos and Indians believed different legends about the Northern Lights, such as they were the souls of animals dancing in the sky or the souls of fallen enemies trying to rise again.

My heart beats as if I just fell in love with a girl when I saw your photo.. I will be bringing 200 team leaders with me on a chartered plane to see the Northern Lights.. imagine 200 people standing on the icy plains, clothed in winter clothings, taking pictures, couples giving each other hugs of a lifetime, some munching on food and all standing in awe.. WOW, that is the Day. Thanks for contributing this photo to Flickr! :)
