Shooting with the iPhone is often a hoot, but the short focal length lens makes lousy, distorted headshots. Your nose really isn't that big. (Ladies, now you know why your FB profile photo makes you look so bad.) But for these goofy, casual snaps, it's perfect. The SnapSeed app did the B&W conversion and exposure adjustments, with a little texture from the "grunge" filter. Clockwise from upper left: Andrew McIntire, Nicholas Mahy, Kenny Buckley, Ryan Mahy.

They probably can't make the lens any longer without either making the phone fatter or the sensor smaller.

Jim, not really complaining about the iPhone lens, anymore than I complain about the lens on my Rolleiflex TLR. It is what it is. I don't make tight headshots with the Rollei, either, unless the distortion isn't an issue.
