Organic Graphics ...
Submitted for Active Assignment Weekly: Organic Graphics
WIT: It has been raining most of the week and I didn't get any pix to speak of. In a attempt to beat the looming deadline, late this morning I convinced my daughter (with serious bedhead), to stand on the top landing of the outside stairs to combine her organic form with the graphics of the siding and stair rail. Just cropped a bit.

Good job of capturing the graphic and organic qualities in the photo. The color is really nice too and I like all the vertical and receding lines in the photo. Bravo for your daughter getting up to help with the assignment!

The strong vertical stripes, beautiful girl, and matching stripes & colours in the jersey are all fantastic elements.
I'd try and reduce and simplify everything else. Get rid of the house, and particularly the door - by getting closer, and face on angle.
Too much stuff, and it looks like a snap.

one of his mantra's is Reduce and Simplify

I really like the two diffreent red and blue tones. Complements each other quite nicely. And I like the original crop or would at least not crop that harsh.
So finally your picture is ruined with all those notes boxes...

Prozac and p912s - I like both of your crop suggestions too. The main thing is to get rid of all the wood siding - I can see that all 3 versions are improvements on this shot. Thanks.
