This was part of a photowalk with Murphyz and John and one of my only photowalks of the year so far. We walked though Greenwich all day and ended up by the Royal Observatory for sunset. After taking a few wide cityscapes, I put on the telephoto and picked out parts of the skyline that interested me. I loved how The City looked with the low sun and the smog surrounding it. I have often mentioned how red the sky looks over this part of London and this highlights it from a completely different angle. I love how the vibrant colours of the upper sky contrast with the desaturated blues of the hazy city itself.
Sorry for not being active on your photostreams. As you can probably tell from my lack of photo-posting, I've been very busy with work and training. Hopefully over the back holiday weekend I'll find some time to start catching up with your recent stuff; I've missed seeing all your work!
This photo really does look better bigger, so try looking in the lightbox or even better, on SmugMug. I've also spent a lot of time working on my site redesign, so I'll hopefully have a basic version live in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed.

It's lovely. London has changed an awful lot since last time I was there.

This is stunning - how have I not seen it before now - I've been missing out. Beautifully atmospheric and I really like the magenta hues.

Nice telephoto effect on the composition - great colours as well.
