Early autumn. A sense of freedom in the turquoise waters of Milopotamos (Μυλοπόταμος) beach in the area of Pelion in Greece

This photo was taken during a project involving long exposure photography with moving light.
My class mate was trying to draw a heart with a small candle firework (the one used for cocktails). Due to the angle I was shooting from, the heart turned out to be somewhat skewed.... :)
On the background Euromast tower, one of the main landmarks of Rotterdam, is standing tall.

Sunset from the Euromast tower, Rotterdam on Thursday, 15th of April 2010.

Eyjafjallajoekull volcano erupted in Iceland on 14th April. In the following days the volcanic ash, covered most parts of the sky in Northern Europe. Although this had no visible effect in the atmosphere during daytime, the sunsets present an extraordinary orange glow.
The ash in the sky filters the blue color from the sunlight, giving this orange luminescence.
