PORTSMOUTH N.H.
We spent the day here last Sat. and really enjoyed the old architecture. The house in the middle is the earliest being built about 1639.

PORTSMOUTH N.H. looks like a beautiful place. Old places are so interesting to explore and spending time in the mitten of it must be just wonderful

Kath, we will HAVE to go together! There are so many restored homes, shops, etc. Really interesting and fun! Thanks both of you for the comments.

I've been there too. I was amazed how large the homes were so long ago.

me, too! That was one of the things my whole family noticed: The homes were/are quite large. And they didn't have central heating!

wonderful piece of history. I used to live in Portsmouth, Hampshire. (England) The sense of the sea and adventure is huge. What the setttlers must have felt!
I had a birthday celebration (22) in a pub near HMS Victory in Portsmouth dockyard. I found this shot which shiws old Portsmouth with its new tower.
