WHY I AM BUSY!

I have finished my classes this past semester and am now in my gardens. I find I am hardly ever on my computer! This is part of the vegetable garden. See notes for what some of this is. Following is another view of some of the beds.

Looks great. I started a flower garden this year which has kept me busy, plus some part time work I finally had to get to make ends meet. Now I'm too tired and/or busy to keep up with flickr as well as before. Oh well......

BTW.....the second photo isn't showing for some reason.

Here it is! I did it wrong but finally figured it out! Thanks Martha, for the comment. I, too, am busy and can't get on here like I used to. Oh, well, is right! Find time to enjoy summer, though! Ours is SO short!

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Gardeners: Show and Tell, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

What a wonderful garden! I like the mulching under your squash/cucumber...the soil looks fantastic.

My father has a vegetable garden like this - I would love to have one - but there isn't room on my apartment balcony (!)

Thanks all! I loved reading your comments and will try to visit each of your photos. I miss Flickr a lot--but am just so busy. An hour indoors on the computer just won't do right now! Outdoors calls me from about 7 to 7--supper has been quick salads or stir fries. Isabella, my soil is good but got somewhat compacted from my son's pigs. i will cover crop it this Fall. Thanks for the invite, too! :o)

Hello! Sherry! So glad you stopped in!! Your garden looks so great, I'm jealous!...LOL
Been trying to convince Bill to turn the side yard into a veggie & flower garden...less water & it would save money, too!
I know you're busy, so just hop on when you can. Have a happy, productive summer!...;-)

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. We have had so much rain that I haven't been able to get into the garden in the last few days. I hope to tomorrow and attack the weeds the rain has invited. But we are eating a ton of stuff now!

Wow, all I can say is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, "this is a serious garden".......not for the faint of heart.......that's a totally time consuming garden.....but I bet you enjoy every mouthful of the benefits of all the work !!
