SOUP DAY

I am recuperating from a cat bit and felt like soup would be a good thing. So...here are the makings for potato leek soup. All the vegies, except my parsley, are from the CSA this summer.

what is the story behind the cat bite? did you get a tetanus shot? my son had to when a cat bit him.

Yikes, hope you're OK. I see a lot of that and they can get pretty nasty pretty quick. If it was deep, seek medical attention now, Sherry. But, since you are "recuperating", I assume you did everything right and are feeling better. Is the cat still living??

Nice veggies, btw. Now I'm hungry!!

It was an accident--she is ok. I had to get a tetanus (which made me sick) and take an antibiotic. Yuck! Starting to feel better. Thanks for your comments.

Cat bite or no, this looks good! Garlic, leeks, onions and anything similar always taste good/are good. Take care. Grand job.

These look great. I'd recognize those leeks anywhere, chopped a few of them myself this summer. My friend gave us so many I gave everyone that visited us a bag of leeks. I was using leeks in everything I cooked.

I was just thinking yesterday that it was a good time for soup. hmmmm...

I was bitten by one of my cats years ago and by the end of that day, I was admitted to the hospital with a raging infection. I was on intravenous penicillin (very painful) for 8 days! Glad your experience wasn't so extreme. Lol

I'm sure your soup was yummy! Sorry about the bite. Tetinus shots are a no-no here, allergic! Be sure you take the augmentin on a full tummy! Feel better!!!!

Thank you, Melanie. I was so sick from the tetanus--had a fever and felt like the flu. It always does that to me. I have been told to eat with the antibio. It helps.
