Deathstar in the Doorway (Soap Bubble)

This is a shot I've been wanting for a while. I used eco washing-up liquid. It makes for very fragile bubbles that dry out and become husks while hanging in the air. But they pop very easily, and any wind kills them.

To be continued.... in the hope that I can capture a complete husk. It is possible, but just very difficult. Well, quite difficult.

What you see here is a bubble becoming a husk. The water film has disappeared in places, leaving a broken surface pattern. I'm not sure of the science here, but it makes for very strange looking bubbles. Like a mosaic!

A very nice effect - and you can totally tell it's about to pop from the pattern. Well done!
