Touchable Bubble being Aqua on Marble

This is a Touchable Bubble. You blow them like a normal bubble, but then they go hard and can stay around for weeks. This one is really small - about 10mm diameter. I blew it over a marble worktop to get a dark background, because dark is good for reflections. The light is from ceiling spot lights.

I'd tried Touchable bubbles before and couldn't get them to work. But then, last week, I bought some bubble mixture from Samsam Bubbleman's shop, and they put some Touchable Bubble mixture in with my order as a freebie. It works! I could only get the tiny ones to not pop though.

When I first heard of touchable bubbles I imagined they'd go hard like glass or plastic. But they don't. Their surface is like a very very thin skin. To gently touch it is to immediately puncture it. So I would'nt call them touchable. Touch them, and they slowly collapse. The skin crinkles, the air seeps out, and they leave a shiny stain on the ground beneath.

I've got a version of this photo in full size, but I'm only uploading a small image here.

Thanks all. @Mankamundo. That "black circle in the middle" is a reflection of the lens. I'm standing away from the camera with a remote control. :-)

I bought a pack of touchable bubbles about a month ago...they didn't work. Wrote the company and awaiting a replacement! Can't wait to try them!
