Hedge and Brick Bubble Burst

I prefer to get just the hedge in the background, but it's windy this morning so I had to chase this around.

You can see me and my finger reflected in there. A bit of lens flare too!

Wow, amazing shot. These are so hard to focus on and the moment was captured perfectly.

Great combo of perfect timing, nice reflections and cool colors. Did you shoot this without holding the camera to your eye? Incredible.

Ah, well spotted. Bet you've done this yourself, hence the spot-on question. Yes, I shot on manual focus and manual shutter and aperture, so I was free to swing the camera. With the wide angle lens and f/6 ish, I have a broad dof, and the bubble is close to the lens, so it's kind of easy to judge it and get away with it without the viewfinder.

It has never even occurred to me to attempt such a thing! Seemed tricky enough while looking through the viewfinder! But I usually shoot at around 50mm-80mm to try to get some decent background separation (my backgrounds aren't as interesting as yours). This just caught my eye because I've seen so many of my own and my face is always hidden behind the camera, and I'm always right in the center. I've thought about getting someone to model for me to get a more interesting reflection, but I didn't want my reflection to be the center of attention. I think you found a solution to that problem! But I don't want to rip you off, and I think this might be too hard for me anyway! You are really pushing the envelope on bubble photography!
