Sun Halo over Starcross, Devon, UK

A sun halo. I've strengthened the effect by creating an exposure fusion on 4 exposures. Thanks to Kevin for pointing it out and telling us what it's called. It was early evening, with the sun low in the sky, and the effect was quite strong.

An amazing phenomena, good capture, although I am not sure what a fusion is. Sounds a bit nuclear to me.

Wow, that's pretty cool. What a thing to see. Is that another photog in the foreground on the right? Everyone must have been out shooting this thing!

Tis another photog there. We were on a flickr meet and happened to see this. It's one of those things that you don't normally notice. My exposure fusion makes it the effect stronger than it actually was, but not by that much.

Wow, it looks like some kind of wormhole! If that was in a movie I'd be expecting a spaceship to fly out of the middle of it at any second. I guess you had a lucky escape!

Well done. That is more striking colour than I usually see on this type of shot. Good capture, and well used effect. And...
