It Begins (SOOC bubble pop)

I often adjust light and colours in shots to give a bit more 'punch', but I thought I'd touch base as it were, and just upload this fresh for my 'SOOC Bubbles' set (SOOC = Straight Out Of the Camera). Not even a crop. One for the purists! For anyone interested in taking bubble shots, you can see here that I underexpose a little to help get some dof (depth of field) on shutter priority.

    I just can't seem to figure out how to get my front and back reflections sharp like this. I usually only get one or the other in acceptable focus. And you shot this at f/5?!? I better go practice more...

    Hi suckaface. I got lucky here. I reckon that this shot must be focused midway between back and front. That would mean both sides are evenly out of focus, but in focus well enough to seem clear. I've had some where one side is beautifully clear and the other side is way out. Probably also helps that this bubble is relatively small and far away from the lens - meaning the dof doesn't affect it so much. Hope this makes sense?!
