This is so interesting, it's cool how you can
see the direction that it ruptured in. How
they are just specks by the finger but still
streaking at the opposite end.
Yes S Bavido, a few failed shots. I'd say 1
in 50 shots are giving me something
interesting. We're deliberately popping the
bubbles, so it's not very very difficult to
time the shot.
Hi DizzyCam. The photo properties are all
available - see "more properties"
(on the right, by the photo). Most of my
popping bubble shots are at 1/500 of a second
and they're all manual focused. Hope this
helps.
I try to focus on the bubble, but it's a
bonus if the finger's in focus too. I don't
adjust focus - I leave it set and then move
myself back and forth to find focus in the
viewfinder. It's a technique used by macro
photographers, and it seems easier. I just
follow the bubble around as it moves.
I have viewed your bubble images for about
the third time (a friend sent me the link
from a newspaper article). They are truly
incredible, well done!!!!!!!!
Hi jaysonk72. Have a look at the properties
of this photo. Your D40x could do this
easily with a cheap lens. It's all about
getting the right weather and lighting. :-)
i just read the article on you in the Digital
Camera World Mag here in Sydney and I should
tell you.. you have inspired me to try this
out ! great job my friend !
That is insane!!!! I've been looking at your popping bubble
pics!!! They are all so amazing! i LOVE them!!!!!! They're really inspring for someone who love
to photograph bubbles!!

Good luck Tomy. If the light is good and there's no wind, then it's not so difficult, but it's just rare to get those conditions.
