I managed to just catch this baby bluebirds first flight out of the nestbox. This was the second of three that flew yesterday for the first time. Each one in turn poked their head out of the nestbox and jumped to freedom. It was quite a treat to watch.

This was the scene right before the second baby bluebird flew out of the nestbox. The one below the nestbox had just flown out and tried to return to the nest. It landed on the tube below the nestbox and stayed there for the logest time trying to figure out what to do next. Meanwhile, the next bluebird was ready to take its first flight.

Years ago I used to spend a week or so each Spring sailing in the Caribbean. It was a magical time and I would love to go back sometime soon. The photo within this photo was taken with Fuji Reala film which works well in bright sunlight. The water in the Caribbean is really that aqua. It's all about the white sand and how the sun reflects through the water. Totally magical ! ! !
