Shucks. I'm embarrassed someone will pull me
up for knowing how to do it properly. But...
I was inspired by Horrgakx's how-to-do
cutouts session into thinking that with the
right cutout you could make a Flickr image
that appeared to be jumping out the photo.
Pictures of me doing it didn't seem to work
(!) but then I saw this toy and thought that
would be ideal.
The 'ghost' versions bouncing up are layered
images set to 50 per cent opaqueness. The cut
out at the top was much harder than it should
be and hopefully someone can tell me how to
do it easier in Elements. But basically, I
put a black frame on the picture, drew a
black line across the top (excluding the head
of course) and then painted the top section
white to blend in with the Flick website
page. Does that make sense?
I couldn't see in Elements how to draw an
empty box to act as the frame.
