you lose things in your life that matter.
and all you can do, is hold on and go forward. and remember that each moment is a gift.
because it is.
i laid in the falling sunshine with my girls, as my daughter read me a book.
and thought of C. and how the thought of her was what made me lay with my kids and be thankful.
learning from sadness.
its not my loss this time. but next time it might be.
i love you S.......

Oh... thank you Lara. It's sad knowing that the sun is going to set but it does always rise again. There is beauty in the way that your heart brakes when you lose someone that you truly l love. I watch B cry and there are no tears of regret just tears of true love and sadness.

What you wrote is so true, and kind of heartbreaking. I don't know the exact thing that it's about, but I can relate so much to the feeling of it...and how it's important to remember to count each moment as precious.
the beauty of your photo is what caught my eye at first...and now I love the photo and the text that is with it !

oh-how beautiful and stunning picture, the backlighting is just perfect-love it. why does it take losing something to make us stop and realize that the now is the most important thing, not yesterday, or tomorrow, but right now, my children are my best teachers of this. you're in my thoughts s and b. :)

What outstanding Rim/Hair light! This photo just feels magical with the way that you caught this light. Your post-production is great, the saturation (or lack of it) you chose just makes it so subdued, you just want to jump in and take a break with the kids.
