      Clair Engle, 1935 - 2011. My father-in-law, a modern day shepherd, who grew up on a sheep ranch in Montana and then traveled the world with his wife and four sons while working on his PhD, teaching others ovine science. He was an associate professor at Penn State University before he retired to the mountains that he loved in Cody, WY. He battled cancer and its woes for many years, and now finally rests in peace.

      My first dance with my new father-in-law 23 years ago. I felt special for I was the first daughter in the family, and I was chosen...
