I had to drag my wife to the Dubai Mall early one morning so that we
could visit the massive aquarium before the crowds gathered. Imagine
that, a husband having to persuade his wife to go to the mall....
Anyway, I guess that I sound like a broken record by now, but much like everything else in Dubai the aquarium is truly an amazing site. A walk through the tunnel and your instantly surrounded by over 30,000 marine animals. Your window into this world happens to be the worlds's largest Acrylic Panel, which creates a surreal an intimate experience. Giant killer sharks swim just inches away, so close that you're convinced that you can reach out and touch them. I was really impressed with the entire exhibit and I was happy that we took the time to explore it. Unfortunately, not long after we visited, the aquarium sprung a leak that caused the entire mall to be evacuated. (I've attached the video below)
I can't help but think how lucky we were that we were to able to visit the aquarium and the Burj Khalifa considering that they were both closed shortly after our trip. I guess that it's bad luck to follow us around....

Too bad about the leak. Although I have to admit, that's kind of funny they had to evacuate the whole place because of a leak.
