Eyes left? No it's smile

    An Unknown Soldier*
    smiles at me
    and makes my day

    A Guard

    At Horse Guards

    A trooper
    with the Blues and Royals

    At work
not at war with himself or
    with me

    Of such bright
    connections
    two men beaming
    piercingly
    passed
    uniform
    and
    past convention
    is how progress
    and peace is made

    *My unknown soldier
    is unknown to me
    no longer
    This is Richard
    He's off
on active service in the New Year
As the late great Dave Allen used to say
May his gods go with him

A great shot. How did you get him to smile?

Man smiles at another? It's a little trick I like to call life. No seriously I find that humans - even men - even those carrying swords with most of their heads hidden under a helmet - will smile. Especially if you smile at them. No magic just the social nature of humanity. And thank goodness for that. Otherwise we're lost. Regards with a smile Steve

Some people engender that feeling of confidence more than others: you obviously do more than most. Well done.

The color gives a life, and thus a humanness the B&W does not seem to.
