Treescape
A vague attempt at a low contrast (or is this more high contrast?) landscape-y sort of shot. I would say "best viewed large on white!"… but it really isn't. Seriously, don't view large. In fact, view as small as possible. Shot handheld in failing light at a rather silly 1600 ISO, so the noise on the dark tree trunk becomes unbearable in large.
Rule of thirds? What's that?
Shot: ƒ8, ISO 1600, 48mm, 1/20.
Photoshop: Square crop, vibrance and saturation, drop shadow.

Entering Reality
An old steam powered winching vehicle. To give you an idea of size, I would say the front wheels are about the same height as a man. Would have been more dramatic if I had shot from a lower angle instead of being lazy... :-(
Shot: 3 exposure HDR - ƒ11, ISO 100, 22mm, auto-bracketed at 1/30, 1/125, 1/8). Generated and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro.
Photoshop: Removed stray head, irritating child, lamppost and dust spots. Cropped out image with magic wand and polygonal lasso. Added shadow effects with layers style palette and good 'ole paintbrush. Added reflection. Also adjusted tones a tad.

The Window
The view of a window in Drumcoltran Tower, a (creepy) mid 16th century tower house in Scotland.
Minor tone corrections in Adobe Camera Raw, then in Photoshop just some straightening, gamma correction and a slight crop.
Shot: 18mm, ƒ/3.5, 1/200, ISO 800

Meet Danbo
Danbo is a recent addition to the family. He has the ambition of becoming a model - which is handy :-)
Didn't get the focussing quite right, and Photoshop thinks the colours are all out - but I don't care. I like it.
Shot: 50mm, ƒ/1.4, 1/125, ISO 100
Strobist: 1 strobe camera left, 1/32 power, red gel, 1 strobe camera right, 1/32 power, blue gel. Both with shoot-through umbrellas.
