Rockefeller Center - Angels at Saks 1954
My uncle took this picture in December of 1954 looking out from Rockefeller Center towards Saks across Fifth Ave. According to www.thetreenyc.com, "Saks Fifth Avenue plays a role in this year’s decorations with a 32-foot-high display of aluminum angels floating in a starry night along the building’s façade across Fifth Avenue." In the foreground are the Rockefeller Center angels.

Spectacular! I'd love to see a show there at Christmas. Had a chance two years ago but it was such short notice, I wasn't able to go.

Well, we bit the bullet and we will be headed up to NYC in mid-December by train (hear that *wanderlust?) for the Christmas show. I've been before but that was decades ago. I've promised my daughter I'll take her ice skating (which is asking for trouble).
