    Another dog picture, I know, but this one is for a reason. I did this as spec work for an animal group that is trying to raise money for a dog park.

    Strobist Info: Two snooted lights for this shot. The main is far camera right pointed at his face at 1/4 power. The second light is 1/16 power and pointed towards his back thigh.

      The snoots work but I would've added one more light to lit the background just a bit so the dog would be better separated from it. Oh and hey thanks a bunch for the comment!

      Tough to tell. The screen I edited this on shows this image with a touch more fill on the back but viewing it on my work monitor it does lack a little separation. It's there in the shot though, I brought it down, so it's easy to fix when I print.

      I think the separation thing really comes down to the monitor you are viewing on. I could say you need a calibrated monitor or go on a diatribe about it but really it's all garbage. Until it's on paper in print you never really know. Thanks for the comment.
